Renaissance: AMC Theatres Issues Fan Guidelines for Beyoncé Concert Movie

AMC Theatres has issued guidelines regarding movie theater etiquette for fans planning to see Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé — a new concert movie written, directed, and produced by Beyoncé Knowles-Carter — opens in United States theaters this weekend. In preparation for the excited fans who will be seeing the movie over the coming days, AMC Theatres has issued a few guidelines instructing viewers not to take pictures during the movie and not to dance in the aisles.

“We want to see your amazing outfits!” one of the guidelines reads. “Feel free to take selfies and group shots to celebrate the occasion and the beautiful ensembles you came up with, but please DO NOT take pictures or record while the film is playing. Be sure to post your photos on social media with #RENAISSANCETHEFILM.”

Another rule states, “If parts of your outfit will potentially block other viewers from the screen, please remove them as the film begins (ex. headwear, wings, etc) and please keep in mind that masks (except for standard face masks used explicitly for health and safety reasons) are not permitted.”

Similar to 2023’s Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé is releasing directly through AMC Theatres rather than a major Hollywood studio.
