Friday the 13th Action Figure Set Unveiled by NECA

NECA has released an all-new Friday the 13th-inspired diorama, called the Camp Crystal Lake Accessory Set. The toy company’s new release is available for a limited time only, available for pre-order until May 27 through the company’s official website

Unfortunately, according to NECA, the Jason Voorhees figure is not included. Regardless, the diorama perfectly encapsulates one of the classic horror franchise’s most recognizable locations, which longtime fans may recognize as a campsite where young Jason drowned due to staff’s negligence. The Camp Crystal Lake Accessory Set retails for $34.99. The shipping fee will be calculated upon checkout.

“Add to your Friday the 13th collection or build amazing dioramas with this deluxe accessory set! These incredible pieces are perfectly in scale with NECA’s line of 7″ figures and are great for building scenes from the cult classic horror movies,” the product description reads.

You can take a look at the Friday the 13th accessory set down below.

A horror classic in its own right, Friday the 13th has stood the test of time with a number of features, video games, and even a slew of merchandise inspired by the Friday the 13th tale. The enduring horror franchise mainly focuses on Jason Voorhees, who’s believed to have died of drowning at Camp Crystal Lake.

The first Friday the 13th film, which Sean S. Cunningham produced and directed, graced cinemas back in 1980. It starred Adrienne King, Harry Crosby, Jeannine Taylor, Laurie Bartram, Betsy Palmer, and Ari Lehman. The film was also one of Kevin Bacon’s earlier projects.

The 1980 horror feature has since spawned multiple sequels, from the 1980s to the early 1990s, with three releases in the 2000s such as Jason X, Freddy vs. Jason, and the 2009 horror film directed by Marcus Nispel. Jason Voorhees has also become one of the most prominent horror figures throughout the years.

There is still no news about a future Friday the 13th project, but Jason Blum has once expressed interest in creating a remake with James Wan as a director. Should it come to fruition, we can expect nothing less from the production house that brought us Halloween, Get Out, Insidious, Sinister, Us, Split, The Invisible Man, and Happy Death Day, among others.
