Ballerina Assassin is a new action-adventure movie from The Asylum. The Asylum is a production and distribution company known for making low-budget, direct-to-video mockbusters, which are movies that capitalize on the popularity of major studio films.
This particular film is playing off Ballerina, also known as From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, which releases in United States theaters next month.

What happens in the Ballerina Assassin trailer?
The Ballerina Assassin trailer sees a dangerous woman, played by Preet Kaur, tasked with bringing down a cartel leader. Kaur’s character, however, is betrayed and then must go on the run trying to find the people who are responsible.
“After a devastating betrayal wipes out her entire spy network, an elite female assassin embarks on a relentless mission to dismantle the syndicate responsible,” the official synopsis reads. “As she hunts down their top killers one by one, she becomes the ultimate target, forced to outsmart and outgun those who want her dead before they erase her for good.”
The cast of the film includes Dominic Keating, Preet Kaur, and G. Anthony Joseph. Michael Su directs the movie, while the screenplay comes from Jacob David Smith.
Ballerina Assassin will be released in selected United States theaters on May 30, 2025. Theatrical showings will be held in Encino, California’s Laemmle Town Center; Roswell, Georgia’s Aurora Cineplex; Brooklyn, New York’s Film Noir Cinema; Brunswick, Ohio’s Hickory Ridge Cinemas; and Minneapolis, Minnesota’s Trylon Cinema.
The John Wick Ballerina movie, meanwhile, is directed by Len Wiseman and stars Ana de Armas, Anjelica Huston, Gabriel Byrne, Lance Reddick, Norman Reedus, Ian McShane, and Keanu Reeves. It hits theaters on June 6, 2025, from Lionsgate.
