James Gunn took to social media to respond in hilarious fashion to fans who are preparing to review bomb the upcoming DCU movie Superman.
What did James Gunn say about fans planning to review bomb Superman?
On Threads, Gunn was asked to be aware of fans planning to purposely leave bad reviews on the film. Specifically, the fan shared a screenshot of the “Snyder Cut” subreddit, where a fan encouraged other people to purposely spoil the movie, leave bad reviews, and reserve tickets but not complete the purchase, locking fans out of being able to buy tickets for some time.
Gunn seemed not to care too much about the fan, joking that he doesn’t believe the fans planning to leave negative reviews will ruin things for the movie.
“lol I think we’ll survive. I’m not sure the eight people that listen to that guy… are going to impact the course of events,” said Gunn.
It’s important to note that, although there was a small subset of Zack Snyder fans attempting to do so, the post on the subreddit the fan pointed to was quickly shut down by the moderators of the board.

Superman is set to premiere in theaters on July 11, 2025.
