
FX has shared a new Alien: Earth poster for its upcoming sci-fi horror drama, which takes place two years before the events of Ridley Scott’s iconic 1979 movie. The series is scheduled to make its debut on August 12, 2025 on FX and Hulu.
“In the year 2120, the Earth is governed by five corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic and Threshold. In this Corporate Era, cyborgs (humans with both biological and artificial parts) and synthetics (humanoid robots with artificial intelligence) exist alongside humans,” reads the official synopsis. “But the game is changed when the wunderkind Founder and CEO of Prodigy Corporation unlocks a new technological advancement: hybrids (humanoid robots infused with human consciousness). The first hybrid prototype named Wendy marks a new dawn in the race for immortality. After Weyland-Yutani’s spaceship collides into Prodigy City, Wendy and the other hybrids encounter mysterious life forms more terrifying than anyone could have ever imagined.”

The poster introduces viewers to the franchise’s newest form of heroes, who are described as hybrid robot soldiers tasked to hunt down Xenomorphs. This group of Synthetics are consist of Sydney Chandler as Wendy, Adarsh Gourav as Slightly, Kit Young as Tootles, Erana James as Curly, Lily Newmark as Nibs, and Jonathan Ajayi as Smee.

Alien: Earth is also set to star Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, David Rysdahl, Moe Bar-El, Erana James, Babou Ceesay, Lily Newmark, Adrian Edmondson, Diem Camille, Sandra Yi Sencindiver, Richa Moorjani, Karen Aldridge, Enzo Cilenti, Max Rinehart, Amir Boutrous , Victoria Masoma, Tom Moya, Andy Yu, Michael Smiley, Jamie Bisping, and Tanapol Chuksrida.
Described as the first-ever Alien story set on Earth, the spin-off is written and directed by Noah Hawley. He previously confirmed that the new show won’t feature any elements from Prometheus or Alien: Covenant movies. It is executive produced by Hawley, Scott, and Dana Gonzales, with Chris Lowenstein serving as a producer.
