Jason tells Carly about Joss and the WSB
Carly tells Jason that Joss’s boyfriend, Vaughn, is a WSB agent. She says she was angry at first, but Jack promised Joss was safe. Jason cuts her off, telling her Brennan is lying and that Joss is actually part of the WSB herself.
Carly lashes out, accusing Jason of always blaming Jack, but he stands firm. He explains that he found Joss undercover in Croatia, posing as Vaughn’s wife on Jack’s orders. He further tells her that Anna confirmed Brennan’s activities and that even Joss’s “Easter Island trip” was likely a cover for her WSB training.
As reality sinks in, Carly breaks down. She can’t believe Jack would involve their daughter in dangerous missions. Jason admits Joss begged him to stay quiet, but he couldn’t keep lying. Carly smashes a vase of flowers Jack had sent.
Jack pressures Valentin for Faison’s secrets
At Steinmauer, Jack pressures Valentin, demanding information about Cesar Faison’s “final project.” Valentin questions Jack’s sudden interest in a dead man, so Jack tells him that Britt and Nathan’s mysterious returns are proof that Faison’s work lives on.
Valentin admits Britt might have been a pawn in Faison’s operation. When Jack presses him for names, Valentin refuses, saying Faison wasn’t working alone and that whoever continues his project is just as ruthless.
Felicia fears Nathan will take James away
At the hospital, Liz finds Felicia worried sick. Felicia confides that Nathan might take James to live with him. She fears Nathan is a stranger to the boy. Liz advises her to encourage Nathan to be part of James’s life without breaking up their home.
Nathan, Obrecht, Britt, and Rocco spend time together
At The Metro Court, Nathan and Obrecht spot Britt at the bar. Obrecht and Nathan invite her to dinner, which she initially refuses, but she accepts after running into Rocco, who is joining them. As the group settles in, Obrecht keeps making snide remarks to Britt.
Later, Obrecht apologizes to her daughter, and the family takes a selfie together. Charlotte sees the selfie while on her way home and thinks she has to warn Rocco about Britt. She also contemplates whether to tell Lulu about her father’s warning that Britt is dangerous.
Ric lies about his captivity
Elsewhere, just as Cody opens the door to leave, he sees Molly, and Ric calls her out. He tells Molly that a “digital detox group” turned out to be a cult that drugged him with ayahuasca. Cody rescued him in the woods and brought him home. Kristina, Alexis, and Ava play along and later check that the money was transferred successfully.
At the hospital, Ric admits to Liz that he wasn’t defending Willow out of kindness but because Nina was paying him. Liz says maybe his ordeal changed him for the better. Meanwhile, Molly nearly confesses her feelings for Cody before Liz interrupts her.
