The first look at Only What We Carry, the upcoming movie starring Quentin Tarantino, Simon Pegg, and more, has been released.

The new image was first shared by Deadline, and shows off a look at Simon Pegg and Sofia Boutella as a seemingly happy couple in the still. The film is currently set to launch its world sales at the upcoming European Film Market in Berlin, and is noteworthy for being Tarantino‘s first major on-screen role since 1996’s From Dusk Til Dawn.

What do we know about Only What We Carry?

The upcoming drama, which has already wrapped production, is set “on the windswept coast of Deauville, and follows Julian Johns (Pegg), a once-formidable Moulin Rouge artistic director whose isolated life is upended when former dancer Charlotte Levant (Boutella) seeks him out after reading a news article revealing his whereabouts,” according to Deadline’s reporting on the film.

“Her arrival forces both to confront unresolved grief, buried truths and the emotional cost of the lives they’ve left behind. Tarantino appears as Julian’s publisher, who lives at the chateau as Julian writes his memoir, while Gainsbourg plays Charlotte’s fiercely protective sister.”

The movie is written and directed by Jamie Adams, and Tarantino is just one of the many stars of the upcoming movie. Alongside him, Simon Pegg, Sofia Boutella, Liam Hellmann, Charlotte Gainsbourg, and U.S. singer Lizzy McAlpine will also star in the movie.

It’ll be a rare acting role for the legendary director. While he has cast himself in small roles throughout his own movies, Tarantino hasn’t starred in a movie not made by himself since 1996’s From Dusk till Dawn, which was directed by Robert Rodriguez.

Tarantino starred in that movie alongside a litany of stars, including Harvey Keitel, George Clooney, Juliette Lewis, Cheech Marin, Fred Williamson, and Salma Hayek. Outside of that, though, Tarantino has stayed away from the acting world, so it’s unclear what drew him to this next project.

As far as directing goes, Tarantino is still reportedly working on his tenth and final movie, although movement on that is slow. He was said to be working on a movie, titled The Movie Critic, but the director decided to move away from that project, leaving his next movie in mystery.
