Fox News and Maria Bartiromo have cut ties with immediate effect. The anchor was associated with the organization for more than 12 years.
In an update from People, Fox News Media confirmed the separation on Thursday, September 3, 2026: “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.” The news comes as a surprise, with no one knowing why Bartiromo and Fox decided to part ways. The news anchor made her final appearances on Fox Business Network and Fox News on August 7 and 9, 2026.
Bartiromo came into prominence for her work on CNBC’s On the Money with Maria Bartiromo and Closing Bell. She later moved to Fox in 2014, where she became the global markets editor for Fox Business Network. The 58-year-old also had several interactions with U.S. President Donald Trump during her stint at Fox.

As Maria Bartiromo bids farewell to Fox News, the morning show named after her will see a change starting Friday, September 4, 2026. Mornings with Maria will be renamed Mornings with FOX Business, with different anchors instead of one permanent host, per People.
Her Wall Street segment will be renamed FBN’s Wall Street. Cheryl Casone has been announced as the initial host for FBN’s Wall Street, and after that, rotating anchors will take turns hosting the program.
Fox News is also making changes to Sunday Morning Futures. Starting Sunday, September 6, 2026, Jason Chaffetz will host the show. However, this may not be permanent, as Fox says a new host will be announced later. Fox Business Network, meanwhile, is looking to change its weekday programming lineup. While the new schedule has not been announced yet, the details will be revealed in the coming weeks.
