A recent video from the sets of the 2024 romantic drama film has intensified the legal dispute between Blake Lively and her co-actor.
The footage seemingly shows Justin Baldoni saying “sexy” in the actress’ direction before turning to two individuals, who seem like Jenny Slate and Hasan Minhaj. He then jokes, “Sorry, I missed the sexual harassment training,” rolling his eyes.
Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer Studios, submitted the clip in court filings on November 13, describing it as “entirely unremarkable.” According to the filing, the actor-director’s legal team argues that “Lively was not scantily clad, but dressed in an oversized fleece ‘onesie.’ Nor was this anything that might remotely approach flirtation,” adding that it was “neutral and not ogling or suggestive.”
The studio also noted that the actor quickly apologized for his remark, with Lively reportedly responding, “All good.” (via Entertainment Weekly)
In December 2024, Blake Lively accused her co-star, Justin Baldoni, of sexual harassment, fostering a hostile work environment on the sets of It Ends with Us, and encouraging an online smear campaign against her. He has denied all allegations, calling them false and damaging.
In response, the Five Feet Apart director filed a defamation suit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, which was dismissed earlier this year. The Gossip Girl star’s legal team described it as “a total victory and a complete vindication.” (via BBC)
Additionally, earlier this month, Baldoni withdrew a $400 million countersuit against Lively after choosing not to amend his complaint. On the other hand, her original filing is still active, with its trial set to begin in March 2026.
It Ends With Us is based on Colleen Hoover’s novel about a woman navigating an abusive relationship. Both Lively and Baldoni played the lead roles, with the latter also serving as the director.
